Mydrim Gallery is pleased to present Generations: The Future Masters Series 4 – a group exhibition of recent works by 8 artists, Ademuyiwa Ladega, Akintomide Aluko, Olalekan Adebiyi, Akintunde Odesola, Ayooluwa Akinrinola,, Folashade Fagorusi, Opeyemi Olukotun, and Tosin Toromade from 8th November to 21st November 2020.
The exhibition features a total of 54 works comprising a broad spectrum of media including bronze, welded metal, wood, fibre glass, charcoal, acrylic, wool, ball point pen and coffee. This multidisciplinary approach to producing art which these young artists have adopted through their oeuvres is commendable. The works explore central themes based on the human condition, expressions, forms and their interconnectedness with every day life.
This year’s participants all have at least 5 years’ experience as full time studio artists. All the artists have featured in several group exhibitions in Nigeria and abroad – whilst two of the artists have had notable solo exhibitions at institutions such as the Nigerian National Museum in Onikan, Lagos. Their works are also held in various private collections throughout Nigeria.
